Hated the Kitchen .. Big time !

I enjoy eating good food but to prepare a dish myself is a miracle !

When I told my mum yesterday im going to be part of a cooking competition her eyes was going to pop out her face ! LoL!

What happened at Chef Boutique and Project X !?

Was super nervous since I know nothing about cooking.. in the same i just went with the flow:P same goes with my partner Q8Rain .. we both are just a Comedy Movie you need to watch !:P

The Live Coverage Video Cams and Flash shots was not helping !

I wanted to first Thank Basma 13 cups for always believing in us and calming me down .. she did an amazing job running things , she didn’t even sit a minute making sure everything is on track and were ok! She was also impressed with us so im Happy;)

Ahmad Al Hendi for always Cheering us up and adding sense of humor to the competition

owlolive Blog- So encouraging .. loving every dish and posting them on instagram at the spot she is amazing !! We gained a new member in our blogger family!

Victor and Olga – They are simply the best .. without them we would have just Panicked ..Olga got our back and she believed in our dishes no matter how weird she looked at us when we told her what were making I so love this woman

Everyone who came and showed us Support  especially 7abitain!!

The Serious Judges I honestly didn’t expect how helpful and encouraging they are ..Basil gave us tips on how to add flavor to our dishes .. Chef Ziad was making fun yet believing in our dish Chef Boutique judge which looks so serious but so friendly and amazing when we got to know him! Jumana who making us feel we suck big time but then we pulled some of our dishes off !

 

my favorite Judge award goes to Fahad from the Diet Ninja .. Honestly he gave us moral support .. smelling our dishes,, taking shots and supporting each and everyone of us even though some of the dishes tasted not so good or extra spicy he was the one that keeps trying it to test the flavors instead of just saying he hated it !

Enough talking lets start Cooking !

wait before getting to business lets start with the best Pantry I ever Saw .. everything was available or replaceable !

 

ROUND 1!

We started at 4 exactly after listening to Chef Boutiques starting bell !

Our Mystery Ingredient !

AVOCADOS ! ( OK PANIC ! Not .. mystery ingredient should be tasted the most on your dish so my instant plan was to make chicken and marinate it with something so i instantly told ran and we teamed up to make it happen ! ) along with sides fries but with a special twist .. Rainy loves cinnamon fries so she wanted to make them !

 

 

I cut the chicken into peices so it cooks faster didn’t want to risk it being uncooked .. marinated it with ginger + lemon juice , yogurt , korkom , a little more spices, salt pepper and lots of za3tar and a pinch of rosemary with little piece of butter , added some chicken stock powder , some garlic and a table spoon of olive oil !

The Judgment !

Now for the first round the judges didn’t comment but it really mattered to me especially knowing what Basil’s thoughts were..I heard that our Dish won the first round today ! so I felt so proud .. then I got positive comments from Basil and Fahad on our first dish so that cheered me up big time !

Now the second round is what messed us up big time !

Round 2 Dish !

Mystery ingredient Bacon !

Then after 20 minutes we were shocked by the Judges Joke ingredient !

GUESS ??

How to mix Nutella and Bacon ? no idea what we were doing but we decided we wanted to do Nutella Wontons ! and wrap them with Bacon.. the filling mixture had nutella, peanut butter and chestnuts

while were cooking .. the judges got hungry so everyone used their technique in cooking

Final Dish !

Now our problem here was that the wanton dough was steamed that it didn’t cook .. it does cook but once it cools off it gets hard .. so we should have fried or boiled it or used a different kind of dough.. the bacon didn’t taste right with it as well .. so we lost a lot of points in this round !

The best looking dish at round 2 in my opinion was Triple F and Urbanq8 .. ( met him for the first time and he is amazingly hilarious , you just cant beat his sense of humor, he managed to remove some of the seriousness of the judges they just couldn’t stop laughing!)

Now the even funnier incident was Danderma extra extra spicy side salad dish ! LOL

Look what it did to the judges !! EPIC MOMENT !

LOOOL It looked like they were burning inside..  some finished a whole bottle of water at the go !

Ahmad AL Hendi asked everyone if they think they won .. when it was our turn I told  him no i don’t but I know who won was asked for names and I guessed all 3 winners right

DERWAZA, TRUPLE F AND Urban Q8 and HISHERS won the second day and joined the winners of the first day which were triple sister+Moody  the rest of the triple sisters team and the side talk and froyo !

We left home at about 11 !  Tiring day but well worth it ! Thank you so much for an amazing well organized competition , you guys made me want to step in the kitchen and explore and test new dishes .. and will be posting them from time to time .. only if they taste beyond amazing !
