HELP NEEDED FROM ALL MY LOVELY FASHIONISTA’S WHO LOVE CAFTANS !

This is the month when people attack the Caftan world .. or just design their own … I went to Blockat yesterday and it was packed !, I can design my own kaftans but I really don’t have time this month :( !

One of the things that i look forward for in Ramadan is the traditional modern wear deraree3, caftans, short caftans…. it’s comfortable yet so elegant .. so comfortable that you can  eat whatever you want at fe6oor time and not feel bloated :P

I saw ready made Caftans .. but didn’t like them as much as some small businesses designs … some fashion designs are unreal .. LOve them not too many things happening .. simple and chic with amazing touches and details.. some are just a disaster .. no sense of style that they just put all the fabrics on one kaftan.. just nasty

Now the number one problem to me is that all those beautiful small business kaftans are just TOO EXPENSIVE !

I’d rather buy 3 Kaftans for KD 350 then just one ! come on it’s just insane !

WHERE CAN I FIND REALLY NICE DERARe3 and all kinds of Kaftans … With Reasonable Prices !!!? :(

  1. Qumar14!! Haifa Kaftans are cute as well. Also, fortunecookie boutique had adorable items.

    Good Luck!

  2. try keswah.com i bought mine from there, 100-150 kd

  3. Someone needs to make affordable Kaftans and Dararee3 because the prices are simply insane I will not spend more than 50KD on a Kaftan or Dara3a simply because it’s unreasonable! And the prices I have seen lately are just insane! Walla allah yer7am ayam awal where a dara3a was 5-20KD depending on the quality of the material and design. Now you see them from 100-500KD! Khaaaaaair ya 6aaair!

  4. You can still drop by Becarre… last day is tomorrow and check out Authentic Glamour and Aisha AlFadel designs there with beautiful caftans ;) I will be there

  5. This whole overpriced traditional wear reminds me of when the Harem pants came out, and they were selling them for 30 KD and UP! I was living in London at the time, and the prices were even more ridiculous. Solution? I had my good old aunts back in Tripoli, lebanon, send over a bunch of traditional sherwals. 1. They were ridiculously cheap 2. They were the REAL deal!
As for the Kaftans, I would honestly say consider this, buy a piece that is an honest investment piece that you would enjoy wearing throughout the year. Why I LOVE Haifa Kaftans and Qumar 14 is that they are really key, workable pieces that you can style throughout the year. :) In any case, good luck with the search!
